Lifelong Cedarburg resident, William J. "Bill" Sekas, passed away on Monday October 27, 2014 at the age of 99. He was born March 27, 1915 the son of John and Anna (nee Kopac) Sekas. Bill married Helen Cunningham at St. Francis Borgia Church in Cedarburg on June 25, 1948. He was a well-known, old school, businessman, operating Sekas Plumbing and Heating for over 60 years. Together with his son Greg, who proceded him in death, they were the go-to plumbers, day or night. A proud US ARMY WW II veteran and a member of the Peter Wollner American Legion Post # 457.
Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years; Helen, children; Joan (Kent) Martin, Janet Sekas, and Linda Wolfgram, daughter-in-law; Amy (John Wells) Sekas, grandchildren; Patrick (Stephanie) Richardson, Johnathan Wolfgram, Colleen Sekas and Leigh Wolfgram, and great-granddaughter; Molly Richardson. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM on Tuesday November 4, 2014 at St. Francis Borgia Church-South, N44 W6055 Hamilton Rd in Cedarburg, WI. Private interment church cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Milan Estates in Saukville for their compassionate care.
