William Lee Trainor Of Mequon. Born to Eternal Life on Sunday, February 22 2026 after a nine year battle with cancer at the age of 73 years. He was born to Mary Geraldine Trainor and Harold William Trainor on March 13, 1952 at Columbia Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. Survived by loving wife and partner Cynthia Susanne Trainor for 48 years. Preceded in death by brother Harold William Trainor Jr. October 10, 2020. Survived by sister-in-law Claudia Trainor of Lutz, Florida. Lee graduated from Dominican High School in Whitefish Bay, WI in 1970. He went on to attend The College of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN and graduated in 1974. He played on both High School and College basketball teams. After college he was owner operator of First Auto Parts in Thiensville, WI. He went on to become National Sales Manager for Zecol Lubaid, Milwaukee, WI. Retiring in 2008 from ER Wagner Casters, at the time in Hartford, WI. Lee loved auto racing and was an active member of SCCA for 30 years driving a Bugeye Sprite, Opel Manta and Spec Racer Ford. He continued to follow all Motor Sports closely until his passing. He was, of course, an avid Greenbay Packer fan. From 1987 until 2020 Lee and Cindy enjoyed their condo in Islamorada, in the fabulous Florida Keys. In 2011 they moved their full time residence to Lake Placid Florida on a canal off Lake June and he loved relaxing on their pontoon. During this time Lee became a proficient golfer, improving his game by golfing three to four times a week. He also was addicted to a video game called The Golden Tee, and spent time in informal competitions. In 2020 Lee & Cindy purchased a condo in Mequon, WI and became official snowbirds. He had a special love for his cats and taking care of their daily needs. They spent his last days at his side. Lee found his greatest enjoyment hosting parties entertaining friends.
