Peter Schramka
Funeral Director & Preneed Counselor
Born in Milwaukee, Peter attended St. Stephen Martyr Grade School and Messmer High School for one year. He then graduated from Dominican High School in Whitefish Bay in 1987. Peter is a member of the Dominican High School Athletic Hall of Fame for basketball and baseball.
After high school, Peter graduated in 1992 with a BA in History from Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina. There, he was a catcher for the varsity baseball team, and for one year held the NCAA Division 1 career record for being hit by pitches.
Peter graduated from MATC in Milwaukee with a degree in Mortuary Science in 1995 and has been a funeral director at Schramka Funeral Homes ever since.

Peter Schramka
Funeral Director & Preneed Counselor

John Klein
General Manager
John grew up in the Milwaukee area before graduating from New Berlin West High School. He attended the University of Wisconsin with emphasis on Psychology and completed his degree in Mortuary Science from Milwaukee Area Technical College – West Allis in 1999.
John started with Molthen-Bell & Son Funeral Home in 1995 and became a Licensed Funeral Director in 1999. In 2007 he was promoted to Location Manager with Schramka Funeral Homes in Milwaukee, Menomonee Falls and Thiensville. In 2009 his responsibilities expanded with the addition of the Schramka-Borgwardt Funeral Homes in West Allis and Hales Corners, all while continuing his work with Molthen-Bell. He is currently the General Manager of the Molthen-Bell-Schramka group serving South Milwaukee, Hales Corners, Milwaukee, Menomonee Falls and Thiensville.
John currently lives in Wind Lake with his two children, Sammy and Alex. John enjoys fishing, cheering on the Packers and traveling with his family to Eagle River in the summer and Ft. Myers, Florida in the fall.

John Klein

Stacy Smith
Manager
With over 25 years of experience at Schramka Funeral Home, Stacy Smith has built a reputation for compassionate service, professionalism, and unwavering support to families during their most difficult times. As a licensed funeral director, Stacy is known for her calming presence, attention to detail, and deep commitment to helping families create meaningful and personalized farewells for their loved ones.
Throughout her career, Stacy has remained dedicated to upholding the values and trusted legacy of Schramka Funeral Home. Her approach combines both warmth and expertise, ensuring every family feels heard, supported, and cared for from the first call to the final farewell.
Outside of her professional life, Stacy is a proud mother to her 12-year-old son, who continues to be her greatest source of joy and inspiration. She values family, community, and compassion—principles that guide both her personal and professional life.

Stacy Smith
Manager

Amanda King
Funeral Director & Preneed Counselor
Amanda earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Parkside in 2013, followed by a degree in Mortuary Science in 2014. She became a licensed funeral director in 2015 and has served families with compassion and dedication ever since. In 2016, she expanded her role to include prearrangement counseling, helping individuals and families plan meaningful services in advance. Most recently, she stepped into the role of Community Outreach Coordinator in 2024, where she focuses on connecting with the community through education and support.
She has a deep passion for helping families understand their funeral options and is committed to providing clear, accessible information on topics like preplanning, veterans benefits, and green burial. Her commitment to outreach is reflected in the thoughtful events she creates—each designed to meet the evolving needs of the families she serves.
In addition, she founded and runs Coffee and Conversation, a casual monthly grief group hosted at her funeral home, offering a welcoming space for those navigating loss.
Known for her adaptability and empathy, she remains dedicated to evolving with the changing preferences of modern families while preserving the values of dignity and care.
In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children. She also loves bowling, fishing, and getting lost in a good book.

Amanda King
Funeral Director & Preneed Counselor

She became a licensed funeral director in 2015 and has served families with compassion and dedication ever since. In 2016, she expanded her role to include prearrangement counseling, helping individuals and families plan meaningful services in advance. Most recently, she stepped into the role of Community Outreach Coordinator in 2024, where she focuses on connecting with the community through education and support.
She has a deep passion for helping families understand their funeral options and is committed to providing clear, accessible information on topics like preplanning, veterans benefits, and green burial. Her commitment to outreach is reflected in the thoughtful events she creates—each designed to meet the evolving needs of the families she serves.

Jeremy Brown
Funeral Director
Jeremy was born and raised in Milwaukee and currently lives in Waukesha. He graduated from Custer High School in 1991, and earned a degree in Funeral Service from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 2011. Jeremy received his funeral directors license in 2012. Jeremy says it was his love of ancient Egypt that helped fuel his calling to funeral service. “The funeral is not for those who have passed, but rather for those who have been left behind,” he said.
Jeremy is a member of St. John the Apostle Anglican Catholic Church, and a lineal member of The Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War. He is also a member of the Wisconsin Scottish Inc. and the NRA. Jeremy joined the Schramka in February of 2021. He’s a “dad” to a spoiled Boxer and an avid roller coaster enthusiast. Time with family and friends is most important to him, and he maintains that empathy and compassion are key to helping families through a most difficult time.

Nick Schilling
Funeral Director

Nick enjoys taking road trips across the country, especially to visit National Parks. He spends his free time exploring new restaurants in the Milwaukee area and cheering on the Brewers with his wife, Aleta. He currently lives in Oak Creek.

Samantha was born and raised in Belize, where she attended college and earned a degree in Business Administration and a certificate in Finance. Adding to her education, she graduated with scholastic honors from Milwaukee Area Technical College, Funeral Services. She currently holds a Funeral Director’s License in the state of Wisconsin, is certified in cremation services as well as a trained celebrant. She is well rounded individual who values integrity, honesty and reliability. She considers herself a humble person.
"Being a funeral director has been a lifelong dream for me," she said recently. "The passing of my grandmother, when I was 18, really impacted me. I had to conduct all the funeral arrangements and body preparation for her. It was then that I understood the value of having someone to help with the planning."
Samantha is currently married to a wonderful person, and they have two adorable cats. Her hobbies include outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, and camping as well as playing pool and traveling.

Robert was born in the small northwestern town and graduated high school in Menomonie, WI. To feed his growing desire for serving people, he began his training for the public ministry. He received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Northwestern College, Watertown, WI, and a Master of Divinity from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Thiensville, WI.
Robert served as pastor for ten years in Rice Lake, WI before serving ten years as pastor in Madison, WI. One of the true joys in his parish ministry involved serving families at their time of loss, and eventually his career path led him to funeral service.
Robert has served Milwaukee and surrounding communities for 16 years as Advance Funeral Planner and Community Educator. He and his wife Mary Beth have been married 35 years and have been blessed with two children and three grandchildren. He enjoys woodworking, fly fishing, and loves to travel.

Funeral Assistant

She received her Funeral Director Apprentice license in 2019, and she typically assists on funeral services — she drives our hearse, welcomes family members and guests, and helps keep the arrangements orderly and organized. Deb is incredibly detail oriented, and always wants to make sure everything is just right for families. "It's important to me personally that nothing is overlooked during this most sensitive time for families," she said. Deb lives in Hales Corners with her husband and two sons.

Tessa Naylor currently holds a Bachelor’s in English and Sociology, with a certificate in Cultures and Communities, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. While completing this degree, she started at Schramka and Molthen-Bell funeral home(s) as an Apprentice in 2023. Currently, she is attending MATC to earn her Funeral Director’s license. She is also a published author.
Like you, Tessa has also experienced grief. Losing her sister to Leukemia is what pushes her to supply your family with the same care and compassion that she received during that time. You can find her driving the hearse, assisting at your services, and providing your loved one with a safe and comfortable place.

Jacquie Andrews
Receptionist
Jacquie was born and raised in West Allis, Wisconsin. She has been married to her husband, Rich, since 1996, and they have two wonderful children. Her husband is a pastor of a church and Jacquie and the children work alongside him in ministry.
Jacquie has been working at the Schramka Funeral Home since 2004, and loves being able to help people during one of the most difficult times in their lives.
On a personal note, Jacquie loves to bake.
