Obituary for Joseph Paczelt (Paczelt)

Paczelt, Joseph "Joe"
Born in Pari, Hungary on March 13, 1926 to parents Adam and Katarina (nee Miller) Paczelt. He died at home on October 10, 2014 at the age of 88. Joe is survived by Anna, his wife of 67 years, his son Joseph (Janine) Paczelt, daughter Ann (Kim) Harter, grandson Joseph (Sepp) and wife Jade Paczelt, and granddaughter Jessica Paczelt, who will all greatly miss the love and laughter he brought to their lives. He will also be missed by the friends and neighbors whose lives he touched in many ways over the years. Joe came to the US in 1950, and worked for many years at S&M Mfg. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his ever-present smile and willingness to help anyone, friend or stranger. He aided refugees from Hungary after the 1956 uprising; acting as translator and helping them find jobs in their new country. He was always ready to apply his many skills to help a neighbor with anything they might need. He saw the best in everyone. A Visitation will be held at Schramka-Densow Funeral Home on October 17th from 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM followed by a short service.
