Obituary for Peg O'Malley

Peggy “Peg” Louise O'Malley (nee Kuehn) Wife of Dr. Richard J. O'Malley. Born on March 1, 1923 to Otto and Valeska (nee Koss) Kuehn. Born to Eternal Life on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Peg grew up in Whitefish Bay with her parents and three brothers. She attended Downer School and UW Madison. She married Dr. Richard “Dick” O'Malley in 1944. They were blessed with four children, Peter, Peggy, Duke and Rick. Peg enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, fishing, big game hunting and traveling the world. She was proud to be the president of the Ladies Club in Sioux St. Marie when her husband was stationed while serving in the United States Air Force, and she was also very proud to be elected treasurer of the Republican Party of Ozaukee County. She will be most remembered for her optimism and happy disposition. Peg is survived by her husband Richard “Dick” of Mequon, brother Peter Kuehn (Anna) of Svendburg, Denmark, children Peter K. O'Malley of Mequon and Bonita Springs, FL, Peggy Schmook (John) of Tallahasse, FL, Duke O'Malley of Bokeelia, FL, and Rick O'Malley (Lisa) of Mequon. She is further survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Otto and Valseska Kuehn, brothers Ottie and Ted Kuehn, brother-in- law Stan O'Malley and most recently her daughter-in-law Anna O'Malley. Memorial Service 10:00 AM on Tuesday December 9, 2014 at Hill Point Church, 2500 W. Brown Deer Rd, River Hills, WI 53217. The family will greet relatives and friends at a reception to be held after the Memorial Service. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff at Lasata Care Center who cared so well for Peg and most especially to caregiver, Diana Collins, whose kindness and patience made such a difference in Peg and Dick’s lives.
