Born on January 30, 1949 to Andrew Funmaker and Lucy Littlebear. Darlene graduated from Adams-Friendship High School.
Darlene is survived by her daughter Tanya Torres of Milwaukee, granddaughter Leigh Ann Torres of Milwaukee, brothers Carlos of WI Rapids, Perry of Wittenberg, Maynard of Lake Delton, sisters, Carol Whitethunder of Lake Delton and Betty LaMere of Lake Delton and many nieces, nephews and relatives. She was preceded in death by her daughter Luci Lena, her son James Thomas, her father, mother, brothers Roger, Wayne, Thurman, Conrad, Wilfred, Daryl, sisters Anita, Justine.
As a member of the Bear Clan Darlene was a homemaker and enjoyed laughing and spending time with her daughter and granddaughter. She was encouraged by the scriptures and belonged to the Native American Church. She enjoyed beading, baskets, bingo and slots.
Meal at 5PM today, December 30, 2014 with devotions to follow at the Milwaukee Branch Office. Visitation Wednesday December 31 at Schramka Funeral Home, 7841 W. Appleton Ave, Milwaukee from 11-1:30. Native American Church Services Wednesday evening, December 31 in Wisconsin Dells. Commitment Services Thursday, January 1 at 10AM. Burial at Trempealeau Cemetery. Marlon WhiteEagle officiating.
