Obituary for Delores C Gruna (Borowski)
Gruna, Delores C.
(nee Borowski) The angels lifted Delores up to Heaven February 27, 2015 two weeks short of her 87th birthday, reuniting her with Ernie her loving husband, her beloved parents Anthony “Tony” and Anastasia Borowski, her sisters Bernice and Virginia, Brothers Anthony and Robert, Brothers-in-law Art Smolarek, Norb Toomey and Jack Lepak and sister-in-law Ruth Borowski. As well as many other relatives and friends. Delores is survived by her sisters Lorraine Toomey, LaVerne Lepak and Vicky (Peter) Dunn, Brother David Borowski, sisters-in-law Rosemary and Rosalie Borowski, and Brother-in-law Jim Gruna. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
While Delores and Ernie were never blessed with children of their own, they were Godparents to many. Delores worked for Briggs and Stratton for 37 years, 3 months and 1 day. After her retirement she visited many people who were homebound or in a nursing homes. She also loved building photo albums for all members of her extended family, providing their family’s history with pictures. Her other ministry was remembering others with cards for all the special occasions both happy and sad. Delores was always generous much thought went in to every card, a special message and covered with stickers. Earning her the nickname “Auntie Sticker” or “Sticker Lady”.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday March 5th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Parish (N89 W16297 Cleveland Ave., Menomonee Falls) Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until time of Mass. Private interment at Wood National Cemetery.
