Leroy proudly served in the Navy on the submarine U.S.S. Pickerel from 1950 to 1954 as an electrician. After returning home he married the love of his life, June Blaubach, in 1955. That same year, Leroy began his career at Meer Electric in Thiensville as an electrician. Leroy remained at Meer Electric until his retirement in 1991. Leroy retired to the Northwoods of Wisconsin where he enjoyed fishing, square dancing, wood carving, traveling and special time with family and friends.

Leroy was passionate about his community and the world. However, his greatest passion was his adoring wife, June. Together they raised 9 children and were a cherished part of the lives of their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed more than words can ever express.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday at the church from 11:00 AM until time of Mass and at a reception to be held afterwards. In 2001, the first responders from the Thiensville Fire Department Inc. saved Leroy’s life. The family is eternally grateful for the 14 years he was able to continue to enjoy his relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Thiensville Fire Department Inc., 250 Elm St., Thiensville, WI 53092, would be greatly appreciated.
