Obituary for Doris H. Kirchberger

Doris H. Kirchberger
Doris H. Kirchberger (nee Haasch) longtime Thiensville/Mequon resident, was born to eternal life on August 9, 2015 at the age of 95. She was the widow of Rudolph Kirchberger, and they shared many wonderful memories for 69 years.  She was preceded in death by Rudolph, daughter Joan (Robert) Ehrhardt, and son Donald Kirchberger.

Doris was the beloved mother of Mary (Peter) Krol, dear sister-in-law of Ellen (Walter) Kirchberger: loving grandmother of Jennifer (Shane) Gilbertson, Rebecca and Jon Ehrhardt, Jackie Osborne,Matthew Drake, and Christine and David Hollnagel: proud great grandmother to Mathias, Isaac, Ava, Julia and Elizabeth; and fond Aunt of Gary, Maria, John, Mary, James and Tracy Kirchberger. She was also survived by other relatives and friends.

Doris was born and raised in Milwaukee and lived there until the family moved to Thiensville in 1967. In 2013 her daughter Mary moved her down to Florida so she could better monitor her care. Her passions were travel, entertaining, chocolate, flowers and best of all - dancing! Doris also worked for a time at Trend Typography - the business Rudolph founded. She will be sorely missed and will be remembered as a kind, loving wife, mother, grandmother,great-grandmother, and a dear friend to all that knew her.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00pm at Grace Lutheran Church, 303 Green Bay Road, Thiensville, with a service to follow at 2:00 pm. A private burial will be held Monday at Immanuel Cemetery, Cedarburg. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
