Obituary for Patricia M. Wherry

Patricia M. Wherry
Patricia M. Wherry (nee Sweet), age 78, died peacefully after a long battle with dementia on January 9, 2018 in Agawam, Massachusetts. She was the loving wife of the late Michael R. Wherry. Pat was born in Ashland, Wisconsin in 1939 to the late Joseph Sweet and Mildred Sweet (nee Pavlovich). Pat was a 1956 graduate of Pius XI High School in Milwaukee. She served as a flight attendant with North Central Airlines, for which she was honored as Stewardess of the Year in 1962. She was a devoted wife and mother who cherished her family. Pat was a proud Milwaukeean and was happiest when spending time with loved ones or playing golf or a game of cards with her friends. She is survived by her children, Kevin Wherry and his wife Sandra of Monson, MA; Erin O’Leary and her husband Thomas of New Lenox, IL; and Jennifer Montgomery and her husband Joshua of Galena, Il. She is also survived by her six grandchildren Colleen Voland (nee O’Leary), Courtney O’Leary, Kara O’Leary, Drew Wherry, Sawyer Quick, Calvin Quick, step grandchildren Austin Montgomery and Faith Montgomery, and her sister Judith Westfall. She was predeceased by her grandson Ryan Wherry.

Friends and family may call from 4-7 pm on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Schramka-Densow Funeral Home, 423 North Main Street, Thiensville, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2750 W. Mequon Rd., Mequon. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Mequon. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat’s memory may be made to: Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org or P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
