Obituary for Glenn G. Fossum

Of Brookfield, WI, age 87, a beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully on February 28, 2018. He was born the son of Emil and Francis (Mucha) Fossum of Milwaukee. Glenn was born in Milwaukee on April 10, 1930. He graduated from Rufus King High School and was on the 1947 City Conference Champion Basketball team. He met his wife Joan (Laughlin) at Square D when they worked together and enjoyed 63 years of marriage. Glenn was the loving father of Karen (David) Jaeckels, Michael (Sana) Fossum, and Colleen (Scott) Valkoun. He will be deeply missed by his three grandchildren Caroline Fossum, Margaret and Mia Kurth. Glenn was retired from Square D, a member for many years at St. Bernadette Church and enjoyed tennis, golf and watching all sports. Glenn was grateful for a happy life surrounded by loving family and friends.

A Catholic Funeral Mass for Glenn will be held, Tuesday, March 6, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Christ King Catholic Parish, 2604 N. Swan Blvd., Wauwatosa, with Father Phillip Bogacki officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
