Obituary for Clare "CJ" Crowley

Passed away peacefully October 3, 2015 age 93. Beloved husband of Helen. Loving father of Peggy (Bill) McDonald and Corleen Crowley. Loving step-father of Karen (Tom) Kloss and Kevin (Sue) Kotas. Grandfather of Gina Evans. Step-grandfather of Matt and Jessy. Great-grandfather of Ashlynn and Alayna. Preceded in death by sisters, Dora Ariens and Frances Schreiber and grandsons, Kasey and Danny. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Clare served in the Navy aboard the USS Gilmer during WWII, attended Boy’s Tech and was a member of the Golden Gloves. He earned his Associate degree in computer technology from MATC. He was an avid archer and hunter. He loved to sing and authored 95 songs. A sincere thank you to the VA hospice for the loving care that Clare received.

Funeral service will be held Monday, October 12 at 1 pm. Visitation from 12 pm until the time of service.
Entombment at Forest Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Democratic National Committee (430 S. Capitol St. SE Washington, DC 20003) or the charity of your choice appreciated.
