The mother of a friend is always a special person. Rosalie was her own woman and tried to be no one else. It works well, it is just too bad that humanity as a whole does not follow that path. Have not seen her in over 50 years but there was not going to be any changes in her personna.
Rosie was one of the first friends I made when I moved to Milwaukee. I lived two door down from her to the north and came to know this spirited, loving woman when walking my dog Lucy. We remained in touch after I moved several times, lastly in Franklin. I will miss her singing Happy Birthday to me and her concerns for my family after my father died, and last year after Lucy died. When I traveled she took care of Lucy and I felt comforted by that. When one of my professors had a young dog that needed to find a home, Rosie was the very happy recipient (this was Rosie's last dog). I remember she would pray for her dogs every night, was generous with her hand made dish rags and shoe booties (my sister and I still wear them!) and would always answer the question of "how are you?" with "so far, so good." I will miss her genuine laugh and her spunk. Rest in peace Rosie.
Rosalie was the first person I met when we moved into the neighborhood in April 2006. In fact, she made a point to walk over to welcome us on our moving day! She always called to wish a Happy Birthday to me and my sons. We will miss her and her many kindnesses. My dog Marley will also miss her as Rosalie always had a treat for her when we walked by her house. Rest in peace, Rosalie.
A donation to the local no-kill animal shelter in Gardnerville NV will be given in the name of Rosalie Wyhoski. Aunt Rosalie had such deep concern and love for dogs.
Tom, Terry and family, we are so very sorry for your loss. Rosalie was a wonderful caring woman who will never be forgotten! I have been using her afghan all winter and have thought of her often. Praying you find peace with every memory.
Aunt Rosalie always called on my birthday and at Christmas. It was such a nice gesture. When we would visit her we always left with an armload of zucchini bread, banana bread, pickles, etc. She was such a sweet person.
In the Kinlein Girls' tradition, Aunt Rosalie always phoned and sang "Happy Birthday" on our day. My final serenade was just a few weeks ago, Feb.12th. She will always be dear to my heart and our phone chats will be truly missed. Her presence helped me still feel close to my Mom.
Tom and Family...I send my love and condolences. Peg Z
Oh, How Rosalie will be missed. She always thought of others in that she always asked about how we were doing. She always asked about the kids and Herb and his hips! She always came to the house with a special something in hand...either train parts for Herb or home made dish cloths for me. We will miss her generosity, her spirit, her individuality, but most of all we will miss her smile and that infectious laugh! Goodbye Grandma Rosalie...we love you. Herb & Jane
