Patricia A. Johnson

Fred and I shared a common thread. Both of us were Postal Employees and past postal union Presidents. He was President of the Federation of Postal Clerks #3 in Milwaukee, and I was President of the APWU - Milwaukee Area Local.( 1981 - 1985 ) At the time he was President, it was part-time and I wonder how difficult it was for him, with such a large family. Fred was a very good man, sincere and honest. We both knew the same Union officers; Burt Sarnowski, Alex Walsh, Tom Brophy, Kay Brophy, Don Leister, Ron Raymond, Catherine Canning, Ellie Klatt, Francis Filbey,(national) John Morgen,(national) and many more. Fred was the driving force behind getting the Union building on N. 3rd St., renovated. It was so convenient to the downtown Post Office. Fred provided many years of unblemished service to our members. Fred made many accomplishments to be proud of. With sincere sympathy, Patricia ( Pat ) and Lowell Johnson
